Potpourri Florence - Wine Windows and Florentines
Wine windows, known as "buchette del vino" are small windows in old buildings in Florence. They are considered part of Florence's architectural and cultural heritage. They began in the homes of wealthy nobles and artisans who produced their own wine and were allowed to sell their surplus directly from their homes via windows - tax free!
Florentines are natives or inhabitants of Florence. Here is a look at a few of them!

Florence potpourri collections; defined as a mixture of seemingly unrelated items in an unusual assortment. A wedding and a protest rally. One of the oldest churches in Florence was next to where we stayed. We heard music outside our hotel room window. It was coming from that church and it was a wedding, open to the public. We came upon a rally to protest the high cost of living. The rally ende...

Florence potpourri collections; defined as a mixture of seemingly unrelated items in an unusual assortment. Arrival in Florence by taxi from Siena. Our hotel, Hotel Berchielli, looked out to the Arno river. We had a couple of greeters at the wall and the views on the river, looking east and west, were terrific, especially at sunset. And cappuccino served at the hotel was personalized!

The building has also been used as a jail and was the police headquarters until 1860. In 1865 the Bargello Museum was opened and is dedicated to the arts of the Middle Age...

The construction of the Campanile Tower was entrusted in 1334 to Giotto who was the most important artist living then, whose name is forever linked with the structure. The tower was built to be a part of Florence's cathedral but its not actually attached to the church. The tower is covered with precious colored marbles that give it the effect of a flower. And the Duomo shares a similar façade m...

Now they can’t for the life of themselves figure out why their children and grandchildren are so screwed up. Summer of love? Summer of fools is more like it.
I lived in the Castro in 1967, but in anticiation of the invasion I went to Europe and spent the summer out of the area.
How cant it be allowed
2:27 The history of Everaard 't Serclaes is way more complicated than that. In 1356 he lead an attack on the city of Brussels which had been occupied by the Count of Flanders (Brabant and Vlaanderen were 2 different countries back then) , defeated the enemy and liberated the city. On his way home from a visit in 1388 he was killed by henchmen of an enemy, Sweder Van Abcoude. Wikipedia page (Dutch only) : nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Everaard_t%27Serclaes

What a damn shame! It's been looking the same for the past 20 or more years! They are building whole cities faster than they could finish this and all they're doing is carving a rock! It looks like an abandoned project!
Southern France is now over-run with hustlers and thieves. Try to enjoy yourself if you go.
Picasso died in bed. Not "brush in hand." It was night. There was a big thunder and lightening storm out over the water. The weather said goodbye.
Can you please update this video to accurately show Yellowstone’s center magma chamber actually being UNDER, STANLEY, Idaho. Thank you. WalkINBeauty
it's gonna blow any day now 🌋
Nope it’s a pressure relief valve for a tight ,springy Cascadia SubductionZone in the PNW. THE MAIN MAGMA chamber is actually under Stanley, Idaho!
When Yellowstone blows it could be a small, or a very large one ! We have know control over it !
Great 🇬🇧 uk
Beautiful place and a magnificent museum.
I was there. What a time it was. We had such hope for the future. Hehehehe...hasn't exactly worked out like we'd hoped.
An event that glamorizes brutality and violence to an animal who seldom has a chance to win. I'm solidly on Team Bull. I hope that one day bullfighting will be put to an end, for lack of public support and interest in it.
Dont get me wrong it was a great time I remember my sister wearing the hippie clothes
This was a once in a lifetime event there will never be a decade quite the same Like lightning captured in a bottle and those with the right eyes got to see it! Truly magical.
A good idea gone bad. I did love the music
The summer of love turned into free clinics on the corner for addiction
And a lost generation addicted to H and their minds warped by too many acid parties
Kaliber 44 - "Film"
I grew up in Southern California as a teenager in Newport Beach. The San Francisco bands came through our area to perform. So glad I was able to see most of them : as I’ve said at other posts about that era , we didn’t consider it as us making history, it was just what we did. A reaction or response to what was going on around us. It’s my favorite era of music, still play it …. often and loud.
So tragic that the Summer of Love has been replaced by the Winter of Greed in SF.
A culture of evil and cruelty.
great time

Go down to the harbor and seize the yachts of the Russin Oligarchs!
You would have to have been there to truly appreciate this. ✌️ The REAL summer of love. Not that imposter that was in Seattle.
Nice work!
Thanks for viewing Kevin, comment is much appreciated!
The exhibit was great! Of course it was only an exhibit of artifacts, images and sounds...it's impossible to replicate an era or event..but it was well done, well laid out and informative from beginning to end. The light show room was fun and the posters were my favorite. The accompanying book is amazing. Those of us who were there during that time are lucky to have experienced such a high time; it will never happen again. The good parts were absolute magic. Thanks!
I remember those days. There was Love,Psychedelic Music,Drugs,Rock and Roll and Utopia. There were Festivals everywhere.Woodstock was the Festival.Love to all my Brothers and Sisters.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.

Bring the vibe back! Positive thinking!
Made by the Bruxelles Tourist Office... 😆
The art of sadistically torturing animals and killing them afterwards.
Human cruelty as usual.
People of Belgium ... and you only filmed and took photos in Brussels. 🤷♀️ As a Belgian I find this a pity.
Wonderful thank you !
Glad you liked it, thanks!
